This CDC dry is aptly named. It is a beefy, high floater fit for any type of Caddis water — which is just about everywhere. It utilizes the incredible floatation and underrated fish catching abilities of CDC.
- Most CDC patterns are rather sparse and delicate, but the Corn–fed is dressed with a HEAVY CDC wing, additional CDC as hackle, and stacked with a hydrophobic poly yarn over wing for additional floatation.
- For CDC flies, this caddis is a linebacker in a ballet class.
- Lance's fly has been proven, time and again, to be deadly on either spring creeks or over pocket water pushovers.
