Nathaniel Linville, tournament angler and fly shop owner in Key West, prefers a leader that is simple, strong, and effective. By adding length to the butt section, not the tip, he ensured that the stiffer materials making up the butt section would aid the leader in turning over and landing straight, delivering quality presentations to spooky bonefish and permit in the Florida Keys. His leader was developed and tested extensively on the water in the world’s most challenging fishery.
